Saturday Morning Men’s group is on a roll! Join us 8-9 am for:
Ephesians
Over 2,000 years ago the apostle Paul wrote a letter to new followers of Jesus in and around the city of Ephesus. Some were Greek and some were Roman who weren’t familiar with the Hebrew God. They were new to the idea of one God.
Paul wants them to know they are as much a member of God’s family as anyone else. He also wants to tell them what it looks like to live their lives as Jesus followers. We’d be wise to pay attention to what he tells the churches in and around Ephesus, because Paul’s words to them can still very much apply to us today.
Part 1 | Belonging
We all need a place where we belong. Paul had something to say about this to the first-century followers of Jesus in Ephesus. And his message can serve as a reminder to us about what it really means to be a part of God’s family.
Part 2 | Unity
By showing both grace and mercy, Jesus created the opportunity for unity between God and humankind. As a reflection of that, our call is to demonstrate unity as well.
Part 3 | Honor
Paul gives practical and specific instructions on how to live as Jesus followers. Everything he instructed the Ephesians to do lined up with what Jesus modeled and taught: we should honor other people.
