Praying The Scriptures

Psalm 8:1 O LORD, our Lord,

How majestic is Your name in all the earth,

Who have displayed Your splendor above the heavens!

Revelation 15:3–4 And they *sang the song of Moses,

the bond-servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,

“Great and marvelous are Your works,

O Lord God, the Almighty;

Righteous and true are Your ways,

King of the nations!

4 “Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name?

For You alone are holy;

Psalm 51:14–17 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God,

the God of my salvation;

Then my tongue will joyfully sing of Your righteousness.

15 O Lord, open my lips,

That my mouth may declare Your praise.

16 For You do not delight in sacrifice, otherwise I would give it;

You are not pleased with burnt offering.

17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;

A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.

Psalm 37:3–7 Trust in the LORD and do good;

Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.

Delight yourself in the LORD;

And He will give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the LORD,

Trust also in Him, and He will do it.

6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light

And your judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him;

Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,

Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

Joshua 1:7 “Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go.

         And naked I shall return there.

         The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away.

         Blessed be the name of the LORD.”

1 Timothy 6:6–8 But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment. 7 For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either. 8 If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content.

Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD appeared to him from afar, saying,

         “I have loved you with an everlasting love;

         “I will sing to the LORD, for He is highly exalted;

         The horse and its rider He has hurled into the sea.

         2“The LORD is my strength and song,

         And He has become my salvation;

         This is my God, and I will praise Him;
